TERM FINAL - WEB DESIGN PROJECT

what i had to make
i thought the brief sounded kind of dumb but thats the challenge, i suppose.

first, i tested some stuff out in adobe illustrator. it looked alright so i started designing a fake app

profile tab. edit profile, add friends, settings would be here too.
make little playlists for your friends and send them using buttons on the left, tap through things you already have on the left.
ad for a real world product. i edited a picture of a marshall amp for a vintage-y feel and made the whole thing bright and eye catching
environment stuff since it's supposed to appeal to young people, and a catchy mission statement thing.
heres the final product. proposal thing asked for an app, so i made an app. it isn't actually functional, it's an image i made in illustrator, but i have a basic concept of how it would work. i didn't make a browser version because it wouldn't really make sense to have one (and this has taken a lot of time already) I made a speaker for them to sell, and made some stuff up for an about section. this was the first thing i've ever made in illustrator (second if you count the little doodles i made earlier in this project) and it looks a little messier than i'd like it to, but i think it turned out okay. I used the brand colors and made sort of a theme, with dark gray and orangey colors being present everywhere. the ad for the speaker is colorful and in the middle of everything to draw attention to it, and it's a simple interface that would be easy to use if it actually existed. i also had to make it appeal to college kids, so it's got trendy design and it's a concept that would be popular with young people.
